Alex

Professional Pilot

Alex

Alex grew up flying with his dad from such a young age that he needed a stack of pillows to see over the front windscreen of their family Piper Seneca. He loved learning to fly different aircraft as the family upgraded—from the Seneca to a Cheyenne, then a SR22, and finally a Meridian. After college, Alex earned his Private Pilot License (PPL) to continue flying recreationally. He firmly believes that a good pilot is always learning, so he kept adding ratings until he found himself in the right seat of a King Air 200, fortunate to have a wonderful mentor.

During that time, Alex realized he much preferred an office in the sky over his decade-long software sales career. After gaining experience in the right seat of a Lear 31A, Falcon 50, Falcon 900, and Global 5000, he discovered a preference for turboprop and very light jet platforms. Upon earning his Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFI-I) rating, he began teaching in the Meridian and working as a contractor. Most recently, Alex was type-rated in the Cirrus Vision Jet and is enjoying every minute of it.
